HSA PrimeCare‘s management team was awarded a TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) by the Suburban Chicago chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association for its efforts in the development and management of the Silver Cross Medical Office Building in New Lenox, Illinois. The award winners were announced at “The TOBY Dinner – A Celebration of Teamwork”, which was held last Wednesday night at Gibson’s Steakhouse in Rosemont, Illinois and featured corporate, industrial, and healthcare management teams throughout the Chicagoland area.
HSA PrimeCare was selected by Silver Cross Hospital in 2008 to develop and manage the two-story, 56,000-square-foot medical office building that includes Children’s Memorial Hospital, Silver Cross Women’s Health Center, and Hinsdale Orthopaedics as tenants. In 2011, Silver Cross Hospital again partnered with HSA in the development of a two-story, 22,500-square-foot cancer center occupied by a joint practice in oncology between Silver Cross and University of Chicago Medicine.
In order to be nominated, HSA PrimeCare completed and submitted a detailed portfolio for Silver Cross MOB that was then reviewed and judged on the basis of the facility’s maintenance and management standards, community impact, tenant relations initiatives, energy efficiency, and other criteria determined by BOMA. Aside from creating 215 nurse, physician, and other jobs and launching the development of the Silver Cross replacement campus in New Lenox, the Silver Cross MOB also houses a women’s health center which provides new and valuable services to the community including discounted mammograms and heart health screenings.
The Silver Cross MOB will now proceed to the regional TOBY competition to be held soon. Congratulations to the PrimeCare development and management team on receiving its first TOBY!
