Bob Smietana, HSA Commercial’s vice chairman and CEO, has been announced as a panelist for Bisnow’s 6th annual State of the Market Event next month. The forum, which will be held on the 82nd floor of the Willis Tower, will feature several notable thought leaders in commercial real estate including: Stephen Quazzo of Pearlmark Real Estate Partners, John Bucksbaum of Bucksbaum Retail Properties, Drew Nieman of CBRE | US Equities Realty, and John O’Donnell of O’Donnell Investment Company. Each panelist will review current real estate trends and discuss anticipated changes in market conditions for 2015.

In the past year, HSA Commercial has completed three new industrial development projects: a 180,480-square-foot speculative industrial building in Woodridge, Ill.; a 218,500-square-foot warehouse facility in Waukegan, Ill.; and a third spec project near Indianapolis, Ind. In April, HSA Commercial celebrated the grand opening of The Mayfair Collection, a 270,000-square-foot shopping center anchored by Nordstrom Rack in suburban Milwaukee. Not to mention, the firm’s healthcare advisory group, HSA PrimeCare, has remained very active with new ambulatory facility developments, and there is plenty more on the horizon for next year.

Bob has completed over 75 building developments comprising over 20,000,000 square feet valued at $2 billion. Bob’s diverse development experience, which began in 1978 as an architect, includes industrial buildings, shopping centers, hotels, suburban and high-rise urban office skyscrapers, senior housing and medical office buildings. His national experience has included all phases of real estate responsibility including land acquisitions, entitlements, design development, financing, construction management operations, property and asset management and brokerage.
