HSA Commercial is proud to announce that Dion Watton, Asset Manager with HSA, was honored as the 2012 Certified Property Manager (CPM) of the Year for the second consecutive year by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) for the organization’s Milwaukee chapter. Dion was recognized by IREM for his vast experience, ethical and educational standards, and for encouraging the participation of other local property managers.

In November 2011, Dion was named the Milwaukee Chapter No. 13 President of IREM. As Chapter President, Dion was tasked with promoting enrollment in continuing education programs, improving membership and engagement, and supporting local property management professionals by providing them with the knowledge and research to grow their businesses and create additional value for clients.

In his role at HSA Commercial, Dion is responsible for managing HSA Commercial’s 2,500,000-square-foot Wisconsin commercial real estate portfolio, which includes the 655,217-square-foot mixed-use Brown Deer Business Park, the 1,021,575-square-foot industrial complex at 11100-11500 W. Burleigh in Wauwatosa, and the 450,000-square-foot Park 94 business park development in Mount Pleasant. During Watton’s tenure as general manager of Brown Deer Business Park, the development has won the coveted “TOBY” award (The Office Building of the Year) from the Wisconsin Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) four times.

Mr. Watton has over 20 years of property management experience and holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation, a prestigious designation awarded by The Institute of Real Estate Management to licensed property managers who complete numerous hours of continuing education and who have a minimum of 5 years of full-time decision making activity in real estate management.
