HSA Commercial Real Estate today announced the firm has recently hired veteran real estate professional Kurt Angst to the firm’s Property Management division. As a Senior Property Manager, Kurt will oversee a six-million-square-foot industrial and healthcare real estate portfolio spanning 10 states throughout the country. Kurt’s primary responsibilities will include the coordination of management and leasing activities for this portfolio of real estate assets with a critical focus on developing client relationships and strategically exploring opportunities for possible expansion.

With a uniquely specialized background in national asset management, Kurt brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new position at HSA Commercial Real Estate. Prior to joining HSA Commercial, Kurt served as a Senior Property Manager for Oak Brook, Ill.-based DCT Industrial Trust, where his five-person team managed 47 properties totaling 11 million square feet under Kurt’s supervision. Before his time at DCT Industrial Trust, Kurt worked in a similar role at Rosemont, Ill.-based Cassidy Turley Midwest where he was involved in the management of a large industrial portfolio.  Throughout his previous experience, Kurt has demonstrated the ability to foster valuable tenant relationships, to control key capital expenditure projects,  to coordinate leasing and marketing efforts, and to maintain positive dialogue among clients and team members—all skills that will benefit HSA Commercial’s partnerships and third-party clients alike.

Kurt Angst has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing – Materials and Logistics Management, Purchasing and Operations from Michigan State University, and he is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois.
