HSA Commercial is pleased to announce that three members of the firm’s senior staff have earned promotions: Jon Boley, Doug Jones, and Wanda Melendez. Each of these team members has been a critical part of the accomplishments of HSA over the past several years and has demonstrated the exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, and passion that has afforded them the opportunity to advance within their respective departments.
Jon Boley has now received the title of Senior Vice President of Health Care Development and Acquisitions. In his role at HSA PrimeCare, Jon is responsible for sourcing, underwriting and closing medical facility developments and acquisitions, as well as providing market and financial analysis, risk analysis, asset evaluations and related economic modeling for HSA PrimeCare‘s health care real estate portfolio as well as prospective medical office transactions. Jon has been an integral part of the pre-development analysis for HSA PrimeCare’s recent developments including: Silver Cross Medical Office Building, University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center at Silver Cross Hospital, Loyola Gottlieb Center of Immediate Care, and the Franciscan St. Anthony outpatient center in Lowell, Ind. Jon has also conducted critical financial due diligence for HSA’s health care acquisitions such as the Michigan Orthopedic Center and the Aurora Health Muskego Medical Clinic.
Doug Jones, who joined the HSA Commercial Finance Division in 2005, has now achieved the title of Senior Vice President of Finance and Portfolio Management. In his time at HSA, Jones has closed $800 million of debt placements on more than 14 million square feet of commercial real estate. Jones has financed projects such as The Mayfair Collection, an $80 million retail redevelopment; the Silver Cross Hospital Medical Building and Cancer Center, a 75,000-square-foot medical development; and over 10 million square feet of industrial product. Doug also manages the disposition of real estate assets including the $100+ million industrial portfolio sale to a private real estate investment trust in 2011. Additionally, Jones placed New Market Tax Credit financing and managed the leasing on HSA’s 495,000-square-foot industrial development in Baton Rouge, La.
Wanda Melendez has been appointed as the Assistant Vice President of Accounting and Controller. In this critical role within HSA’s accounting department, Wanda will manage the firm’s accounting staff and is responsible for the tracking and reporting of cash flows for HSA’s owned and managed properties. A 25-year accounting veteran, Wanda has worked with HSA Commercial Real Estate for over six years in various managerial roles where she has gained vast experience with complex corporate and property accounting issues.
