For the second year, HSA Commercial will be helping the Greater Chicago Food Depository in the fight against hunger by hosting a holiday food drive online, at its Willis Tower office, and at PrimeCare’s managed facilities. All donations raised through the Virtual Food Drive will be earmarked to help the Food Depository purchase nutritious, high-quality food for hungry individuals and families in Chicagoland.
Why a Virtual Food Drive?
Through the Virtual Food Drive, the Food Depository can purchase essential food items like milk, tuna, eggs, apples, and baby food in bulk quantities, at prices well below the market rate. All of the items on our food drive have been identified by the Food Depository as ones that are in high demand by its network of food banks and shelters. Click here to get started!
For this holiday season, HSA is asking that instead of sending an annual holiday gift, please make donations through the Virtual Drive, and help make this a healthy and happy time of year for thousands of local families that depend on the extraordinary generosity of the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
Canned Food Drive
Employees and tenants can make physical donations at both the company’s Willis Tower office and at PrimeCare’s managed facilities in the Chicagoland area. The Greater Chicago Food Depository has requested that volunteers bring the following non-perishable food items: beans, cereal, jelly, chili, pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, rice, shelf-stable milk, soup, tuna, stew, canned vegetables, canned fruit, and macaroni and cheese. Please no glass, homemade, or perishable items.
Last year, HSA’s employees and building tenants donated 688 pounds of food which provided 513 meals to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
HSAwareness is the social outreach arm of HSA Commercial Real Estate, which was created to encourage generosity and volunteerism among our team members and other stakeholders.
